Exhibition 2018 – Points of departure – Tilbury to Harwich

This body of work was exhibited in July 2018 at the 5th Base Gallery off Brick Lane. The exhibition was featured in Whitechapel Galleries monthly gallery trip. The body of work was inspired by the Brexit negotiations and the desire to define a new relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Union. The images try to capture the mood of a country that was unsure if Brexit would ever happen or would the journey to departure ever conclude. The departure points along the Essex coast mark points of departure and arrival with The United Kingdoms closest trading partner.
