Day 5 was a rest day in Banlung. Time for the mechanics to check over the bikes after three days of tough riding.
The hotel Terra Rouge is an ideal place 2 stay for a rest day and especially as the hotel laundry promised to clean our kit.
So a more relaxed day followed and a chance to experience a different form of transport with a sedate elephant ride.
The afternoon included a visit to the local gem mine.
